Here is a new version of the podcast Mrs Rafter’s 3rd Class. It is a story of a boy who loved sports and who became deadly accurate with a hurling stick, also known as a hurl or a hurley and sliotar (handmade hurling ball). We hope you enjoy the story.
The music in is by a famous Irish traditional group called “The Chieftians.” The backing track is entitled Morning Dew and it can be found in Ireland on a compilation album aptly titled “The Very Best of the Claddagh Years” on the CeirnÃÂn An Cladaigh label. Catalogue No. CC66CD

This is great. It’s so neat to see kids working together from different countries.

Great production of this famous legend. I recited this in Irish for a Féis when I was at primary school. Sadly, I was nowhere near as good as your story tellers. Well done and I look forward to your next Podcast.
Well done kids ; both from Malta and Ireland, for such intersting legends. I had a great time listening to them. Keep up the good effort.

Thank you so much for this lovely legend! We really liked it and we enjoyed listening to it. We are now getting more used to your Irish accent. In fact we managed to understand it very well just after listening to it for 2 times. However, we really would like to see how the Irish names of the people and places are written and maybe you could send us the phonic sound, that is how they are pronounced. All these names are new to us!! We also think that the music was very exciting!!
WELL DONE!!
We are already working on this month’s podcast so that we can send it to you as soon as we can!
