Raspberry Pi Zero

Raspberry Pi Zero

Raspberry Pi Zero with camera port – not $5

I was disappointed to learn that Radionics Ireland do not stock the Raspberry Pi Zero.

Is it possible to blow the Raspberry Pi with a faulty loose power connection? My RP B+ is showing no lights. I tried my phone charger and it also draws a blank.

If the loose power socket causes a short it could blow the surface mounted fuse on the Raspberry Pi. The fuse doesn’t actually blow, it overheats and breaks the circuit until the short is discovered. Obviously unplug the power supply unit from the mains and remove the plug from the mini USB socket. Let the Raspberry Pi cool down and remove all the cables and SD card. If you have a spare suitable power supply try it first just in case the PSU is causing the fault. Check for the power-up LEDs. If it fails to boot you will have to check the fuse with a multimeter and have it replaced if necessary.
