I was surprised to discover this morning that http://www.dublincesi.wordpress.com was blocked by FortiNet, the contracted filtering service for the the Schools’ Broadband Network. I checked out Virtual Education http://virtued.wordpress.com/ and it too is blocked. Both blogs were accessible before the CESI conference - a week earlier!

More frustration! During coffee this morning I mentioned the Open Education Disc project. Lo and behold the site is blocked. It is listed on Google but the site is blocked. This would have been a golden opportunity for European teachers to contribute to its proposed content.

BabelFish is still blocked to Irish schools by Fortinet. This is a repeat of December 5th. I submitted it back then for approval but nothing happened.
