WeatherPixie is under the weather

The WeatherPixie.com has been experiencing server trouble for the last 6 months and is in need of pixie dust. It was definitely down at the end of February as it was pointed out to me in some of my birthday greetings. I have just gone onto the site and it is empty except for a Twitter link for @weatherpixieHQ . Judging from the last tweet on March 7th nothing else seems to be happening. Bearing that in mind I am going to retire WeatherPixie from the sidebar until further developments have taken place on the site.

Everyting is intact this morning! Still showing an error while loading but it loads nevertheless. I have pinpointed the offending plugin.

Thanks for the heads-up on the loading speeds. I will remove a few plugins in the next few weeks to see if there is a marked improvement. The tracking utilities maybe doing all the damage.

WordPress 2.7.1

I upgraded the site to WordPress 2.7.1 a few minutes ago. This is my second attempt as the first run seemed to clash with my animated cloud tag plugin. All seems to be fine this time around. The sideblog plugin seems to experiencing problems as all its posts are in the centre column. I will tidy everything up tomorrow morning.

The “Once Upon A Blog” podcasts and posts are still intact on the site and I hope to port them across to the school’s new ScoilNet hosted blog during the week.

I also hope to import the posts from the CESI Dublin site before I close it down. All contributors’ accounts will be ported across as well.

I have changed the theme for the first time in 3 years. It will take a bit of time to tweak it so be patient.

I have upraded to WordPress 2.7 beta2.

The NoRevisions plugin – the work around solution for podPress8.8 does not function in v2.7 so any page with a podPress insertion generates an error

I don’t really know how to tag this one as most of my cloud experience is based on using WordPress, Youtube, Flickr, Twitter and Google Apps so i have tagged it as Social Networks and Web 2.0.

The rapid turn around in WordPress upgrades and releases has led to a problem with podPress.

There is another plugin offering doing the rounds.

I think its working title is “Podcasting” but I have not come across it yet.

Click on the link to tidy you over until the matter is addressed.
