I uninstalled the NextGEN plugin and reinstalled it but my gallery links were demolished. I will re-import them to set up a new link table - when I have time. Thanks again for the heads up.

No I am not giving up on blogging or podcasting!

On the contrary, I have 96 private postings from the last 14 months on various topics which I shared with 43 WordPress trainees. 29 of these WordPress enthusiasts are from the eTwinning community and the remainder are teachers from around Ireland and some PC users who attended last year's Digital Bootcamp organised by the INTo and delivered by Apple last summer in Alexander College, Dublin.

I will tidy them up, especially the posts with links and publish them (publicly) over the next few weeks.

Upgrade Issues

There has been a number of rapid WordPress upgrades in the last few weeks which have left a number of plugins in a deactivated state. You will also notice that my logo has fallen foul of some mysterious theme parameter. I will check it out sometime next week.

WordPress 2.7.1

I upgraded the site to WordPress 2.7.1 a few minutes ago. This is my second attempt as the first run seemed to clash with my animated cloud tag plugin. All seems to be fine this time around. The sideblog plugin seems to experiencing problems as all its posts are in [...]

WordPress 2.7 up and running.

Nightmare – my favourite plugins seemed to have died a sudden death.

WordPress 2.6.2

Thank you for all the texts but I will hold off untill to-night. It will give me a chance to check the posts on other sites before I take the plunge. It is a podPress upgrade that we really need!

Just upgraded to v2.6.1 – ar eagle na heagle!

This upgrade was released while I was in London so I did not get a chance to do it until now. The good thing about the six day lapse was the amount of subsequent plugin upgrades that were ready for action in the meantime.

This release has more than 70 fixes on board. I haven’t got use to 2.5 yet!

I am stunned! I barely recognise WordPress in its new incarnation. I suppose I will get use to it. This release has leap-frogged the v2.4 stage and gone straight for the new look. I hope the plugins don’t shut up [...]

WordPress 2.3.3 upgrade

Apparently v2.3.2 is vunerable to attack from a “specially crafted request” which ” would allow a user to edit posts of other users on that blog.” So. there you go. Another upgrade of an upgrade.

podPress 7.2 upgrade

The nightmare is over! Our uploading problems have been solved with the release of podPress v.7.2 by the gang in MightySeek.com – Thanks guys.
