Well done for all this work. I can say that the children are really really enjoying it as my daughter is one of the lucky girls in Mrs. Vanhear’s class. It is very educational for the girls as well and I really admire everyone involved. Well done to the schools as well for backing the teachers up. Congratulations for the award as well. Heidi

Congrats on the Scoilnet award.
I presume you are aware that the internet safety page has gone entirely. It was the first page I left a comment on. There are images are missing from the Image Bank page and both images and text are missing on the the Podcast Setup page.

I set up most of the pages in the first two weeks in December. I am so busy at the moment that I didn’t miss it. I have a text backup of all the pages. The images may be a problem as DELL replaced my harddisk after Christmas. The online safety page was lost following the crash in January last. All its associated comments are available in the MySQL database but there is a listed error for that page – it may resolve over time.

I will re-build the other pages when I get time. Thanks for keeping an eye on the site.

Thank you all for your encouraging comments!! We are working with very young children aged between 6 and 8. At first it was a bit time consuming….but now that both myself and the children have got more familiar with the tools, it has become easier.

I have spent the last half a hour browsing and listening. Its a great idea. On a practical note. Would it be possible to reverse the comments listing? Say something like Top of the Pile type of idea. Just asking!

I am very impressed with the amount of thought and work that has been put into it.

Is it an “off the shelf” product?

I haven’t seen the likes of it around.

I have installed a plugin Reverse Order Comments by Tim Zylinski and altered the php code in index.php. I hope that does the trick.

WordPress is a free package available at http://www.wordpress.org The look and feel of the site is left to your own taste or that of the people the site is designed to serve. Hundreds of free themes are available for download that cover all topics and interest groups. The basic WordPress site can be enhanced with free “plugins” that perform all manner of procedures.
